DIMENSION4™ Sensors
The Ubisense UWB Sensor is a base station used by the DIMENSION4 Real-time Location System to find the location of objects in real-time. The sensor detects ultra-wideband (UWB) pulses sent by Ubisense tags and then finds the 3D position of the tag. When compared to other wireless technologies, UWB technology is less affected by multipath interference. UWB Sensors can therefore detect the position of tags more accurately.

The timing distribution unit (TDU) is an optional device that combines the networking, power and the timing signals needed by a sensor onto one Cat5e or better unshielded twisted pair (UTP) cable. Using a TDU therefore reduces the wiring infrastructure for UWB Sensors.
