Torque Sequence & Error proof Application
A live demonstration of how SmartSpace combines the UWB and optical technologies to create a bolt level accuracy control system.
- The optical camera attached to the tool can distinguish bolts in the space of millimeters
- UWB can distinguish if the worker is positioned on the left or right side of the axle
- An instruction display shows the worker what bolts to tighten depending on which side the worker is positioned
- The optical camera recognizes if the wrong bolt is selected
By combining UWB ability to pinpoint a component anywhere on a moving assembly line and the optical camera ability to pinpoint the exact bolt within that component, SmartSpace enables true sequence-level torque error-proofing for advanced tightening strategies.

- The tablet user interface shows assets based on the worker location
